Flatstock 35 (Chicago) – Pitchfork Music Fest 2012

What a weekend. Another Flatstock has come and gone. This was the first time I tried doing the Chicago/Pitchfork Music Fest show and was definitely happy I went. Since I was at the booth the whole time I didn’t really get to catch any music except for a few (Godspeed You Black Emperor, Ty Segall, etc..).

The first 2 days were pretty miserable with thunderstorms lasting most of the evening. Us vendors were running around plugging leaky tends and keeping everything off the wet ground. Needless to say, sales were slow as no one wanted to walk around w/ wet, soggy ruined posters.

Fine folks of Powerhouse Factories (Cincinnati, OH) shared our tent and kept the liquids cool and flowing. Good hanging w/ them.

The new Buffalo stickers were flying…. if stickers were posters, I’d be a millionaire.

Don’t feed the birds mini-burnt pieces of toast…

Sunday was great as the sun came out and I unloaded a bunch of stuff. I ended up meeting a bunch of good folks, including artists I was a fan of. Could definitely be in the cards next year.  For a rundown of the festival check out Pitchfork’s site. Also Inside the Rock Poster Frame blog has a nice pictoral rundown of the folks of Flatstock… check it.
