Moe. Summer Tour 2012, … now for sale

The band Moe. always goes hard with big tours during the summer and I was lucky to get the call to help design their Summer 2012 tour poster.  I always tend to do things the hardest way possible and definitely did so in choosing this design.  Drawing these bees was labor intensive.  Drawing hairs on each ones back,… everything, but its the only way I know how to do it.  I was happy to see how the print came out and did a similar design which will be a Summer tour shirt for the band.

Close Up

The print and shirt are currently for sale on the tour and is now for sale on the site, YEHHHHH!!!!!!.

Defunct Ween T-shirt design….

If you haven’t heard, the band Ween is no more. The details are muddled and I still hold onto a glimmer of hope but it’s a bummer for sure. They have been one of my favorite bands since high school and I was super psyched to have them as a band/client I had a good working relationship with.

Right at the tail end of their last tour I was hired to convert a design I did for a Gene Ween solo poster into a tour shirt for the band. The work was finished and the idea was to have it as merch for the next tour, except…. there is no next tour. So I wanted to share it. Just because the band isn’t together any more doesn’t mean there wont be new merch for fans in the future as there is defininetly a demand for it. There is hope this will see the light of day.

I am not sure if the shirts were ever printed but if you like the design make a fuss about it and let them know you want it.

Thanks for the tunes boys….

Wakarusa Fest 2012 – A Tale of 2 posters. … now available.

This weekend is the Wakarusa Music Festival down in Ozark, AR which a jamband fest with a pretty sweet lineup inlcluding Primus, Pretty Lights, The Avett Brothers, Edward Sharpe, Girl Talk, etc… They are getting bigger and bigger every year and was happy to work together with them on a print for the show.

The design originally was somewhat different. Airy and bright with chubby birdies but after some discussion the consensus was that it was too “cartoony” and “light”, so we decided to go w/ something a little trippier. Hippies love eyeballs.

The final print (top) came out looking great, thanks to the folks at Half & Half were available at the show and now are available on this site. 18′ x 24’…. 6-colors…. 325 print run.
