My Morning Jacket – St. Augustine poster

My Morning Jacket are back on the road promoting their new album The Waterfall and I am psyched to be working with them again. This latest print was for a stop this weekend in St. Augustine, FL.

Off the bat, St. Augustine is a beachfront town in Florida which already brings up swarms of possible imagery to pull from. I did my research on the area and initially tried pulling inspiration from the towns deep history with Ponce de Leon and the Fountain of Youth. Lots of conquistadors and interpretations of “youth”, but in the end I felt I wanted something a little more mystic and over the top. The Alligator is iconic Florida and I figured I would try and work it in as a kind of nature spirit of the city.

The poster is a whopping 6-color screenprint in a small print run of 117. The band has the signed and numbered copies and I have about 40 AP’s which are available now.

I also printed up a very small run of Black & White prints for those with kids interested in partaking in the COLORING NOOK. People ordering prints get 1st dibs on the free B&W’s and If there are any left they will pop up in a couple weeks to the public.
